CAKE INTERNATIONAL ENTRY

This year i decided i would like to enter a competion with a cake. Of all places I chose Cake International at the NEC in Birningham. I must say i had a blast. I was dissapointed with my enrty as, like usual, I left it to the last minute to make it. I gave my self two days to complete it! I had to miss one tier off as i just didnt have time to do it. I just couldnt get my head around what i was going to do with the cake. I dont see a cake in its entirety in my head which makes it hard to design a cake up front. It seems to come together as I create it.

I got a Certificate of Merit for my efforts which I am very happy with. Next year I will enter again but try to prepare a lot better. I may choose a different category. Toodle pips cake lovers.....
